René J. Basque, Partner

René J. Basque, a native of Tracadie, New Brunswick has over 20 years of experience practicing law; main areas of practice are corporate matters, civil litigation, employment law and personal injury. René offers services in French and English.

René has been an active member of the community for many years.

He has been appointed an adjudicator pursuant to the Canada Labour Code.

He is currently a member of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association Board representing NB, a board member of the NB Law Society, and member of the Excellence Awards Committee of the Canadian Bar Association.

René is also past President of the Canadian Bar Association, NB Division, National VP of the Boys & Girls Club of Canada; past board member of the Board of Trustees of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation, Past President of the Board of Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc. and Past President of the Comité organisateur des Jeux de l’Acadie 1998.

He also lectures at the NB Bar Admission program in commercial and corporate law and provides business seminars for entrepreneurs who are interested in going into business and governance seminars for charitable and for-profit Boards of Directors.
